    That is exactly the problem that they are describing in that link @Sheal - daylight robbery for them to pitch in at that price. They deserve to lose a lot of customers, and therefore a ton of advertising revenue.

      Demanding that sort of money is one thing but holding thousands of people's pictures to ransom is another! Surely PhotoBucket can't get away with this legally?

      I think they can, because at no point did they ever suggest that their service was a secure storage one - - it was always about sharing images, as far as I know. Their behaviour is pretty disgusting to be honest, and whilst I understand that they are a business and are there to make money, to go from a free service to £400+ per year is horrendous.

        With so many people upset by this surely PhotoBucket will just collapse, I can't see many paying the demand?

        Wisely I decided to keep my own photo's on my computer, at least that way if anything goes wrong I've only got myself to blame.
