    Hi everyone,

I have recently joined and it looks like a great site, lots of useful info.

I have gardened on and off (depending on where I have been living) with herbs, flowers and shrubs for quite a few years, but 2 and a half years ago finally bought a house which came with a greenhouse and veggie plot. I have had reasonable success over the last two years but now that I have a bit more time hope things will get even better this year.

One big problem is having the weeds blow over from the field at the end of our garden, though it's a lovely view and the ponies are cute. When the ponies leave they let it grow wild for hay and everything sprouts in my garden, so it's a constant battle, that and the mares tail!

Anyway hope to chat to some of you soon

Hi Penny, welcome to Gardeners Corner. As you can see we're a friendly lot here, so you can keep us up to date on how you're getting this year, ask questions, give advice - or have a moan if you want to!!

    Hi Paladin,

It is great first thing in the morning when I open the back door and all I can hear is bird song, cows and see the ponies, love it!
