    Cracking photos there @Freddy :)

Glad you enjoyed your stay, and also glad the transport system did what it is supposed to do. Most Londoners do not have a clue just how lucky they are to have such a well planned and well joined up system - only just outside London, that changes dramatically.

Funny enough, I was considering growing amaranthus next year - one of three that I am considering, to keep things fairly simple.

Getting to Kew was a doddle. As I said, I was well impressed with the transport system. If we missed one train (underground), another was only 3 minutes away. On a few occasions, we actually stepped off one train (line) onto another, brilliant. That said, it was noticeable that one or two lines could do with a bit of updating, Bakerloo for instance, blimey that was hot down there. Must have been horrendous a month or so back! A couple more pics...

The third picture in your last post @Freddy - that was my view from the hospital bed when I was in High Dependency at St Thomas' Hospital. I was back there on Friday as it happens.

Crikey, I remember walking past the St Thomas hospital, on the way around a bit of a loop, crossing Lambeth Bridge. Small world..

@Freddy thank you for posting the pictures! I immediately felt I should be looking for Tarzan and boy when I saw those giant lily pads :)

I too was lucky that I got to see the drawbridge operating to let a big sail ship through.

Glad you got to see so much in those few days :)

We were gifted a cruise. We went from the Tower Gateway and included a two course meal. It was nice, but if I’m honest, not that impressive. We went westward along the Thames.

I’ve never grown them. I always had this image (in my mind) that they grew to about 18” or so. Yours were grown from seed, this year?

They are easy from seed Freddy, I've got a few self seeders this year, I've just left them alone, one is 5ft tall now:

I’m currently working on a revamp of my garden, foot condition permitting. Amaranthus are one of the plants up for consideration, space permitting.
