IMG_5892.JPG This may just be a weed but is special in the sense that I picked this out of the field where my great uncle died in WW1. Any ideas what it is? I think it had little purple flowers (could be wrong!)

Not 100 per cent sure but think its a weed that we call Creeping Charlie because of its habit of crawling everywhere. Quite pretty though and has special memories for you and as they say a weed is only a weed because its in the wrong place.

Known as Ground Ivy and Ale hoof too, used to be used as beer preservative before hops, makes a good tea for chesty coughs and has pretty flowers :spinning:

      Mint family :)
