Season's greetings all. Anyone have good knowledge re types of syringa? I've been investigating with a view to planting one and really wanted that sort of grey-y/blue-y/lavender colour. However, I don't want double flowered - I just do not like double flowered flowers, they lose the simplicity of the flower. Seems though, that all 'new' colours are also doubles (perhaps while they are breeding the new colour they also make it a double ...! ), so I might be stuck and have to resort to a common lilac or one of the very few single flowered, which usually end up being pink, unless anyone knows otherwise. I love pale so no rich pinks or purples etc. Thank you all.
