Hi Strongy, thanks for putting those up, they are gorgeous photos and brought back memories of a lovely holiday spent at Glyn Cerriog in a cottage. The scenery around that area is stunning. :)

It really is a stunning area. This will be the first summer in ages when I won't be visiting North Wales :(, so thanks for the pics, Strongy.

:) Hi, strongy, thank you for those pics. Although as a lot of you know I'm from South Wales, we looked at buying in Anglesey, North Wales before we bought on the Isle of Wight. Still in my books a lovely part of the the UK.

Our friends son (who is Portuguese and we have known since he was born) is over here for the summer having just finished his first year in Marine Biology at Bangor University ... he loves it there.

Really nice pictures thanks for posting them.

We lived in Marford between Chester and Wrexham in the late sixties and know Llangollen reasonably well as it isn't that far from where we live now.
A nice drive is around the route outside the town called "The Panorama."
Such diverse scenery from moorland to thickly wooded areas in such a short distance.

I found this short video on YouTube but it doesn't do it justice.

We were staying in Oxton, outside Birkenhead and went to Llangollen via Horseshoe Pass with some dramatic scenery.
It was our first visit to this part of North Wales and will definitely go back again.

Pal, much as I like trains ....:D

Marley, yes we walked over it and so did In-house Advisor's 89 year old aunt!!:)
