International air show in Portrush today. Took as many pics as my phone would let me .When I got home and uploaded them there were only three good ones .I dont think that introductions are needed for these guys.

Great piccies Beefy - and no you don't have to introduce them. The first time I saw them fly was at the British Grand Prix at Brands Hatch - and they did their usual approach low and fast from behind, causing everyone to duck :D Though they've changed planes since then, they are still good.

I even got to see them when I was in the RAF - but had a preference forthe gut vibrating roar of a Vulcan on reheat.

Know what you mean Fran. The Euro-fighter did that trick today -approached from behind, then went strait up on afterburner result about 500 car and house burgular alarms in Portrush went off :D :D .

Well done Beefy. I can send my mobile phone pictures as 'picture messages' to my email address.
Fran, I loved Vulcans too, also the English Electric Lightning... [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

I remember reading recently that there is a group restoring the vulcan to fly again. They are short about £250,000 - but hopefully they will raise it, and the bird will fly.

Beefy I bet Portrush loved that :D What a way to announce your presence.

I hope they get a Vulcan flying again.
I used to go to airshows quite a lot but not lately, as Fran and Liz say the vulcan and lightning were always the real noisy ones.
Never heard anything to beat the US blackbird though.Saw it once a Mildenhall.
As I remember it took 1hr 55mins from New york to London.
Things have got a bit tame since the "cold war" ended. [IMG]
