I think this is the egg shell of something -

There were just a few of these small birds and they ran about so quickly that it was difficult to get a pic of one -

    Nice photos Kedi.
A lot of death there, as always on a beach.

That black shell/case, I've seen it before somewhere.

Is it something to do with sharks.
    Mermaids purse I think.

    Thanks Sis and Pete.

Funny you say sharks, Pete. I always thought they were shark egg cases, but then a few years ago someone said definitely NO! and however did I come up with such a silly idea? I must google your Mermaids purse.

Yes, always a lot of death on the beach, but that is what all the empty shells are too, just we rarely think of that, do we? Still, if it wasn't for the low tide, all of these things would go unnoticed.

Lovely photos Kedi.I think but I might be wrong the black pod is the egg case of the Dog Fish.I have a small brown coloured one that I found on my hols and have kept it just as a keepsake.Your photos are brilliant especially the white feather.I also keep those if I find them because they are supposed to bring Good Luck if you keep them:)
