I live in Southern Spain and have just bought 12 Marigold plants from my local garden center. Within a few days some of them are starting to wilt and die.

Can anyone tell me what is wrong.

    Thanks

Have you been over watering them ? Or maybe theyve been blasted by wind since leaving the garden centre ?

The compost looks dry, looks like under-watering to me.

If any dead plants are being removed, check around the roots as grubs eating roots can cause plants to display the same symptoms as under watering and this could explain individual plants being affected rather than the whole container full.
