Is anyone else finding that some email notifications are missing. Not all, but random ones?
I must admit that I rely on email notifications to keep up with threads, but when I check manually I see that some threads have had further comments yet I received no email.
I've checked my spam box - nowt there.

Funny but I was just posting the opposite.
Totally fed up with E Mails.

      longk,
sorry, I can't help as I don't receive email alerts - by choice.

      Pete,
Hover the cursor over your name on the top bar and click on 'Alert Preferences'. It then brings up lots of tick boxes. The top section of boxes (Messages in Threads) is what you want and make sure the top four baxes are unticked. That should solve your problem.

Go to "watched threads" and use the drop down menu at the bottom left to enable/disable E mails

Hadn't spotted that "Show all watched threads" link before, it will be handy as a support-answer for users in future, I'm sure.

I dont doubt everything we want is here, and catered for Kristen.
Its just one hell of a job finding all the bits and pieces.
I only read instructions when all else has failed.

And it can be soooo frustrating when you want to do/find out/follow something and you keep coming up against a brick wall.

You started this thread - do you think that makes a difference? (i.e. compared to ones that you did not start, but have replied to)

When I START a thread there are two checkboxes at the bottom:

        Watch this thread = CHECKED

        Receive email notifications = UNchecked

so unless you can set those in your preferences, maybe you have that too and have to explicitly check the second one?

(Bit daft if its not possible to set a "preference" on that, but it might be the cause)

Done all that. I've also unwatched and reset to watch again, but it is totally random! The email is so useful, as it means that I can keep an eye on stuff whilst working or on other forums.

OK, sorry I can't be much help as I don't use notifications as I would get so many notifications that my inbox would sink! (Surprised you don't too, you post frequently here too ...)

I just have the "Watched Threads" page open, and refresh it during the day when I have a few minutes spare.
