Mistaken identity

Some creatures get the blame for the deeds of others. This little chap is not a rose chafer. He can be recognised by his shapely legs - one of which seems to be dented!


He does no damage to your roses as he only eats the pollen - as seen here.


Surely the wild roses are worth a place in the garden. I grow the eglantine and it's smothered in bloom now.
