Mistletoe

    Mistletoe has cropped very heavy this year as have most berries. Those in Hatfield Forest are mainly on hawthorn and crab apple.

    In winter when the trees are dark and bare, you can see the shining golden green of the mistletoe and understand why it was regarded as magical. The Golden Bough between earth and sky with no roots of its own.

    Beautiful HB, when our crab apple trees get big enough I may have to try and introduce some. Really magical! [​IMG]
