It’s quite vigorous and taking over the lawn. It’s currently low growing but I’m not sure if it gets taller as it was mowed prior to us moving in a month ago. Tia :) AA26076A-A1A1-4D30-B8E3-2A24DDDA58D2.jpeg

:sign0016: to the forum @YellowLab ... handsome dog in your avatar :blue thumb:.
I think your plant is wild Tansy, which is a member of the potentilla family (anserina) - sometimes called goose grass. If I`m right it will have yellow flowers. :)

I've always known it as Silver Weed. The underside of the leaves should be a silvery colour.

I think that cinquefoil has shorter, fatter leaves - all the same potentilla family

                  Welcome to the forums YellowLab.

Goodness you have been given several answers.
                  Bit confusing maybe.
Common names can mean different plants to different people.

My vote goes for number one.

                  1. Wild tansy....Tancetum vulgare.

tanacetum vulgare leaves - Google Search:
                  .......................................................................

                  2. Silver weed.....Argentina anserina syn of Potentilla anserina.
Leaves very silver on the back. Normally a sea side weed...no sign of silver so can be rules out.

                  Argentina anserina - Google Search
                  ..................................................................

                  3. Creeping cinquefoil.....Potentilla reptans...leaflets in 5's...so that rules that out completely.

                  Potentilla reptans - Google Search
                  .....................................................................

                  4. Goosegrass....Galium aparine.....with many common names including cleavers, clivers, "bort", bedstraw, goosegrass, catchweed, stickyweed, stickybud, robin-run-the-hedge, sticky willy,[sticky willow, stickyjack, stickeljack, and grip grass

                  That is definitely not it.

                  Galium aparine - Google Search
                  ................................................................................................................
                  Hope this helps.

Thank you for your answers and kind welcome :) After reading about Wild Tansy, I crushed the leaves but there’s no strong fragrance. I had a look at the back of the leaves and they’re quite silvery. Perhaps Silver Weed then?

The correct name is Potentilla anserina.

That's why I suggested looking under the leaves. :dbgrtmb:
