This afternoon one of the pheasants was happily sitting on the top bar of the bird feeder and having his lunch when the skys opened! :rolleyespink:

We haven't had rain for months and he didn't quite know what to make of it but he very quickly jumped down and ran under the trees.

He stood there without moving for about 20 minutes until the downpour stopped as suddenly as it started. He then flew back up to the top of the feeder.

Hey, Clare, We'll have none of that! I don't want you frightening him. :D

He and his ancestors have lived happily in and around the garden for many generations. I remember him as a chick running around our patio and having a close look at Oscar.

All the time Oscar was with us he was very protective of his pheasants and they knew that they didn't have to worry when he was around.

Does he need to worry when you are around ?

You can not beat a nice bit of game bird hung well for a couple of weeks

Off course he has no need to worry, you like there precence too much in your garden, daft question to have asked really Shiney

I've never liked pheasant meat. I'd rather watch him strut around and get even fatter!

It's alright Jack, I won't let him know what you said.

This was his grandpappy as a baby with his big and little sisters around him.
