MY PEAR TREE

    Hi all
    i cut back my pear tree 18 months ago it was leaning over so i wanted to even it up but since then i have only had one pear could anyone tell me why

    Thanks for that palustris but i didnt cut it all back and the year before i cut the tree back it was pears for ENGLAND TIME when will they start again?

    It well could be shock if the pruning was severe. It well could be that the piece you removed was the piece which had the fruiting spurs on it. It wcould be (as with ours rather too often)that you had a forst or a cold drying wind when the blossom was out, or even drought maybe. So far this year all our pear tress have good blossom on them and the bees are about so fingers crossed. Your tree will produce fruit when it has re built the fruitng spurs it needs to have to flower. Has it got good blossom on it now?
