I have heard (albeit indirectly) that 3 dead rabbits have been found at our alottments and they have Myxi, and I and one other plot holder saw a living one this morning with this disease. I've informed the Parish Council and our site rep, do I need to tell anyone else?

    Steve...:)

Hi Steve it was a big around this area last year.. Sad to see & best put out of their misery if you can do it... You do not need to report this - myxomatosis is not a 'notifiable disease I am afraid although distressing to see..

We found a dead rabbit in the garden a few weeks back and that had all the signs. We told the local gamekeeper as they go out shooting them round here and he said that it was in the area. Sad thing to see.
