    I've had it two years, evergreen, it is supposed not to like frost (although it has taken -4c this winter with no damage) what is it? .... I have the label in front of me! .... [​IMG] Does anyone have it or recognise it? No prizes!!

    That flower shape looks familiar and so do the leaves, Is it a cotoneaster of some kind?
    Perhaps a purple leaved form.

    Sorry to keep you waiting Pal and Pete, son came home for the weekend and hogged the computer. You were right "of course" it was Loropetalum Chinense but the variety was Fire Dance, doesn't look very firey to me!
    It gives a nice colour in winter when everything else is dull, particularly when the sun hits it. [​IMG]
