The builders put a beech hedge in as a boarder in our front garden.

This is its second year and it grew well last year but didn't have any shape.

Whilst I'm not expecting it to be thick for another year or two, is there anything I can be doing to help it?

All I plan to do is keep adding extra bark, but should I feed or cut low?

    Thanks in advance.

It's looking pretty good already, they do take a while to get going.

A general purpose feed like Growmore will help.

Depends on how tall you want it, wait until it's nearly reached your preferred height then snip the tops - that will make it bush out more.
