Hi I let my kid plant a bunch of vegetables and we can't figure out what's growing. I'll upload some pics. Greatly appreciated in advance, new to gardening. IMG_20150716_194927.jpg IMG_20150716_194937.jpg

My name is Bill and we are renting a new house that has a lot of garden space and different plants growing everywhere. I learned in the past 2 months how tough gardening is and would rather be fishing. But it's growing on me a little. From Pennsylvania in the US, had a British boss who was a retired detective in Scotland Yard, one of the best people I ever knew.

Hi Bill, and welcome to gardener's corner! :sign0016::spinning:

Do you still have the seed packs that your child sowed from? You say that you think it could be a vegetable? My gut thought is that it might be some spinach, that is going to seed - maybe with plans of world domination?!!

It could be New Zealand Spinach, I think that can get pretty big given the right conditions.

Didn't buy any spinach seeds. We bought corn, sweet peppers, JalapeƱos, cucumbers, watermelon, and tomatoes. We have no clue what this is. There's 2 cucumber plants growing next to it I think. It has yellow flowers on that one.

Thanks for the warm welcomes, I guess I'll have to wait and see what happens with this plant. I don't think they are weeds, but then again I have no idea.

Here's 2 more from today, it grew another couple inches overnight. Looks like a little Xmas tree on the top. Still no idea.

The little xmas tree may be the flower waiting to open. Once it does you'll be able to get a better idea of what it is.
