Newbie tree disease question

    Hi,
    first post here.
    I'm no expert on gardening matters and to my shame I don't even know what my tree is. I can tell you it grows at an insane rate, to 15 feet twice in the growing season. It's thrived quite happily in the corner of the garden for the 10 years since we bought the house but something looks wrong with it. Any ideas folks?

    It looks like a self seeded willow to me.:thumb: The problem with it is rust. Treat with a systemic fungicide,:gnthb:

    Although I think I would just cut out the badly affected shoots.

    But that`s not controlling the rust Pete, it`s just spreading it. Personally, I`d cut the tree down and burn it.:lollol::gnthb:
