Nice plant but what is it.

    Hello all, I am visiting a friend today and she asked me to identify a plant..unfortunately I could not.. even after a bit of Googling but I have not forgotten this club so what is it called please.

    Hi Hans, it is an Evening Primrose.. They do smell lovely & sometimes you can actually hear the flowers pop open.. I love them & always have some, but they self seed like Foxgloves though.. :hehe:

    Nice to hear from you both and good to see the club going so well and thanks for your help. My friend does not remember planting it so it may just have 'arrived'.. She likes it and has no intention of digging it up. I still garden like anything these days.. but identification was never a strong point. all the best

    They grow incredibly easy from seed - and the seed pods are very easy to spot on the plant as the flowers die.
