    Looks like a very young cistus, about to flower? But surely that is in your book?!

    I'm guessing it will be much easier to identify in about a week or so, when those buds have opened!

      They're a bit hard to see but some of the flowers are open, just very small.

      Not in my native wildflower book, it's in a coastal field miles from the nearest garden :) DSCN1949.JPG
