The Village from The Sidlaw Hills

Looking down on the village and across the Tay. The ruin in the foreground is Evelick castle - a mid 16th century tower house and sadly falling apart year by year

This is our local pub, within walking distance from where we live.
And just next to Sutton Park ,you can see the trees in the park in the background

The Reed Beds in Winter


About quarter of a mile away, the reed beds were the main source in the UK of thatching material until 2005 when EU imports undermined the industry. The reeds cover 2000 acres and were planted in the late 18th century to stabilise the river bank.
