Who do we believe though? The justification for our last invasion to Iraq was that Saddam's regime could turn 'weapons of mass destruction' against US and British interests in just 45 minutes. The US has several times tried to justify an invasion into Iran by saying they had intentions of attacking the US. We still only have the word of the US government that it was Afghan forces that attacked the World Trade Centre, justifying the invasion of Afghanistan.

We have only a tentative alliance with China, but they wouldn't sit back and let nuclear war break out between the NATO and their neighbour, because they'd get half the fallout (literally), and all of the economic destruction.

If North Korea really is such a threat, would we be told about it? Or would a small group of special forces illegally enter their country to observe, sabotage, and spread propaganda?

It is run by a silly little boy. Its about time the people of North Korea realised that and give a jolly good smack on the behind before taking all his toys off him.

If the people of North Korea can't do it, I feel sure there are plenty of entire nations that will step up to the mark and put him in his place.

Even China are giving them grief now.

Has he got any idea what would happen to the place if he set off a nuke on foreign soil?

The yanks wouldn't even have to retaliate with nukes, they've got conventional wepons that could do nearly as much destruction.

I have a mate who trained as a Marine in his home country of Taiwan. Last time North Korea made noise my mate was recalled. He made excuses about family emergencies at the time, because he wasn't allowed to say, but after they stood down from that he told us what had happened.

Once again, my mate in Taiwan has been remarkably quiet for days. I'm pretty sure I know why. Its infuriating because his circumstances have changed now. He's still a marine, but now he has a wife and infant daughter, and some jumped up little fool who in any other country wouldn't even be trusted to cut his own dinner up yet, will have separated my mate and many like him from their families.

Its a good job I'm not in charge of Great Britain. If I was, the SAS would already be on their turf by now, and if/when war comes, they'd suddenly find that they had neither a leader nor working weapons.

The Chubby kid is flexing his muscles , the way things are primed in the far east , it could cause sparks. Hopefully diplomacy works a little better now.

Unfortunately when your toys are nuclear powered and your toy soldiers are real soldiers, it's not quite that simple!
If any nation steps in then both China and probably Russia will suddenly cozy up and all out war will result. I think the UN are a useless body in general but there's little else they can do but use more and more sanctions. The bad news is that it's driving the little boy insane(r) and nobody want him to get to the point where he has nothing to lose.

Best outcome for everyone would be for one of the tinpots to off him and their government. Decades of attempted diplomacy have proved futile.

Neither Russia nor China will want nuclear war heads flying about in the region. Both are wise enough to realise that there can be no winners in that situation.

China has increasingly got to grips trading in the Western world. I really don't think they are going to jeopardise what they have 'built' for North Korea.

North Korea is economically important to China, they have lent huge sums of money to North Korea and invested a lot there. They also do a lot of trade with them. This is why China traditionally stick up for them, but China knows that if North Korea starts a war, especially one with the west, it will be extremely expensive for them. Money that China has put into the country (with the hope of a return on investment) will have to be spent on war instead of conventional trade. China will lose money.

For the first time ever I actually feel a bit sorry for China. They are stuck between a rock and a hard place. They have too much interest in North Korea to just turn their back, but at the same time they know that if they side with North Korea against South Korea and NATO then they will end up bankrupt. The very first thing the UN will do if we go to war is cut off all trade with China, which would bankrupt them overnight and they know it.

The best thing China can do now is what they always do so well, just claim North Korea and put it under their control and declare it part of the People's Republic of China, like they have with Taiwan and Tibet. It wouldn't be great for the rest of the world if they did, as China is getting too big for its boots, but for China it would be the right thing, and it would put a temporary end to this silly talk of throwing nukes at their neighbours and at the US.

It is not Kim Jon that is the problem it is the regeme
If you notice, every picture of him there are two officers one at each side with him in an arm lock!
He just heads what the regeme states

There are millions of the North Korean people who will willingly do what is said
They kicked the US out last time, by sheer force of numbers
We shot 4000 and instantly another 4000 were behind them, until WE ran out of stores munitions and MEN

The only way would be with Chemical and Biological warfare and that would not be recieved well by any other country, Then Nuclear, which would not go well at all, Unless North Korea do it first, then it would be goodbye North AND South Korea

What a mess to be in Even worse if China come in
I saw them stealing our front gate, and I dare not say anything incase the took (offence) the fence too
