    October is a signal
    For trees to turn to fire
    And show off crimson colours
    Before they must retire.

    October is a beauty
    Dressed in Autumn's spell;
    She walks in splendor everywhere
    And wears the season well.

    October is a treasure
    She's rich beyond belief;
    Her patchwork days of colour
    Are spectacular, but brief.

    October is a painting.
    A scarlet leaf display
    Framed by a sky of sapphire blue
    And wrapped in an Autumn day.

    Lovely poem Gogs, it`s a pity all the leaves have to be swept up. David.

    you should publish it if it's yours. if it's not, shame on you for plagarising or whatever it's called!

    Borrowers. Plagiarising means writing your 'own' work but pinching the ideas from someone else without their permission (if its copyright) or giving them credit (if its not). I once wrote a musical about 2 gangs on the west side of New York.... oh no, sorry that's West Side Story.

    Gogs. I wouldn't feel bad about this at all but I think in future if you find something like this on the web, where the author asks you to share it, you either point out from the start where it came from, or simply post the link. Why do you only want to pass it on by PM?

    Gogs, perhaps you should have put the link up ... those pictures are fantastic and amplify the words ...and I may paint one or two, with or without permission, with artistic license. [IMG]

    I don't see plagarism here, just innocently not given credit to the author.

    yes, Lady of Leisure: the pictures are fantastic, but the tune brings down everything.
    I am sure that: that is what our friend was thinking, when posting the words of the poem - not the link!

    Must admit, mira, I didn't have my sound turned on as I've been popping on and off here as I always do when I have GC on nowadays. Will listen probably tomorrow. [IMG]
