I apologise for the picture quality. It was taken spur of the moment, at night, while I sat in my parked car waiting for the missus.

See if you can spot the odd one out...

Those vintage tractors see daily service. Its the fishermen's boat/trailer/tractor park.

So you are near a shrimping or cockling beach ?
A Fordson was a very very early tractor - where are we looking

I just thought the little red sports car (Mazda MX5 I think) looked out of place among the all the vintage tractors. It made me chuckle to myself a bit.

The whole car park is private. Well its council owned, but the spaces are all rented out on a long term basis to the local fishermen, who use it to store their boats, tractors, trailers, lobster pots etc. Some of those tractors have been there since I was little. I think the fishermen bought the ancient tractors years ago before people realised that they were potentially collectors items, ie when they'd have been a lot cheaper than a more modern tractor. They just want a simply tractor capable of pulling the boat and trailer over the beach to the sea without getting stuck. My mate is the proud owner of one of them. They are held together with pure ingenuity, wire and tape. I think they are too old to need taxing or MOT'ing, and in any case I think there's some sort of exemption for them given their use.

Ditto the one with silver wheel trims, the others are subsidised and run on tax free diesel. Cheers, Tony.
