Thank you all, I'm pleased you liked my photos. I am not a good photographer so can't show you the others, they're hopeless :heehee:
... so I'll show some from my next walk

Lovely photo's Michael and it's good to see the unspoilt parts of Britain we still have. :)

One recent sunny afternoon I went to have a look at Parc Dinefwr, at Llandeilo near here. It belongs to the National Trust now.

I was going to walk to it but took the wrong path :heehee: so I'll try again another day !

I found the old cottage where my ancestors lived in the 19th century, it is part of the park and is let out for holidays now. It was vacant on the day I saw it.

I hope you enjoyed these photos, some are not very good because the sun was in the wrong place.

What a beautiful place and looks to be a very relaxing place to escape to. The white cattle really stand out against the background.
Love the cottage it looks like it's very well maintain, have you actually been inside as I was wondering if it's been modernised or kept in it's original manner?

Thanks everyone, I'm pleased you all enjoyed my photos, it helps me go out more

Yes that's right, it has been altered a lot over the centuries. It is apparently built on the site of an early mediaeval mansion.

It has been modernised inside @Upsydaisy and is let out for holidays by the National Trust. I haven't been inside. It was vacant and locked up when I saw it.

I'm sure you live in a lovely cottage @glengarry23  ... it isn't where we live, it's what we make of it, we have to make the best of what we've got.
I once lived in a very old cottage, walls about 2 ft thick lol it was very plain but comfortable and I enjoyed living there.

I think Newton House looks creepy :yikes: :heehee:

Thanks for commenting on my photos ...

Thank you @Upsydaisy, the river is the Tywi and it is the longest river whose whole length is entirely in Wales. It enters the Bristol Channel south of Carmarthen.
