    Had a call from my son about 5.00p.m. today saying he was parked up somewhere near Newmarket waiting for the AA as his car was bellowing smoke and the wheel bearings had sort of exploded!

    After explaining he was ok he said he didn't know how he would be able to get to work tomorrow - "Are you going anywhere? if not could I borrow your car for a few days until mine is repaired - or I get a new one!"

    So had to run my car down to his - a couple of miles down the road.
    I did explain I was wasting time when I could have been on GC! [​IMG]

    Well, what could I say :rolleyes:

    No, on yer bike, or get a taxi maybe - but then your a mum and he's your son. :D

    [​IMG] You're right of course Fran, but as he's a carpenter he does a lot of work around the house for me - fitted kitchens and the like. So what goes around comes around I say.
