I am considering buying a miniature fruit tree for the patio. Something you can keep in a pot, low maintenance, heavy fruiting and not prone to disease. Do you gave any recommendations?

I ordered some over the internet at the beginning of April. Some kind of root graft thingy - don't remember. Anyway - they were simply sticks. I have planted them in containers and they are doing really well. My plan is that they remain in containers for good.

I have a red delicious, golden delicious, gala and a Williams pear.

I have friends that have plum trees and they do very well - I don't like plums.

I currently have blackcurrants, a gooseberry, a grape vine, a brown Turkey fig and have just bought a goji berry plant and now fancy a fruit tree which I can keep in a pot on the patio. I have considered having a duo plum tree (two varieties of plum grafted together in one - yellow and purple, they also do a duo apple tree) but I may consider something else. The golden and red delicious sound lovely. Will your new fruit trees have fruit on them this year?
