believe it or not, Pete - signs of shoots already!! Fingers crossed! They're on a window ledge with good light but little direct sun - seems to suit them!! (BTW - echiums are going great guns, dwarf and normal ones! Showed the m-in-law your pic, and she thought we might even see them over the garage roof! It's the height of a large double-storey house!) :D Sarcococcas not changing much yet, but I'll send at least one by the end of April - they look really sturdy, even if small.)

Glad the pepinos seems to be doing well. They really are easy plants.
    What echiums do you have?

A dwarf bedding mixed from Suttons, a Garden News freebie, and Sugar'n'Spice from Unwins - both coming along nicely! Very noticeable roots growing on two of the pepino cuttings now! All good fun!

Not desperately - 2 feet, and the dwarf, 1 foot - I've packed up some of both and sent them to you this evening - should arrive Saturday, I shoould think. They came up extremely quickly - even faster than the kochia! (Although the Ipomoea was fastest of all!)

Hi, Pete - noticed some little black insect cases/eggs, whatever, wrpped up in cobwebby stuff yesterday, on one leaf - so have removed that. Are you aware of that being a problem? The cuttings are really doing well, though - loads of roots being sent out all over the place - I'll pop them in compost soon. Any particular tips at that stage, re light and temperature?

Paladin was on about black insects, but I cant think what they are.
I'd pot them up now and keep them in the same enviroment for a few days, then if not in the greenhouse now, they can go out there, they shouldn't need a lot of heat from now on.

Great! I've already potted them up, and put them on the same window ledge as before - so that'll fit in fine with my plans!! Ta!
