    Not so clear a photo of a wren on the end of a branch.
    Samsung S8 clean lens and steady ish hand.
    Any pointers and tips please?

    Probably need to zoom in but I think most phone cameras do that digitally so resolution goes down. Either get closer or pick bigger birds. Also having light behind you avoids that silhouette effect.

            Looking at the latter images @landimad, it looks to me as though the settings are set for quantity of photos rather than quality - maybe look to the settings to see that it is making the most of the images it is taking?

              Not sure how to play with it as the kids got me this a few years back, I still do not know what I am doing with the darn thing. Give me an old Nokia 3310 and I am good with that.
