Picked up dying shrub...

Seems to of picked up but no idea what it is please? It has an amazing smell to the leaves a very sweet peppery smell.... Bought at homebase for a couple of quid because the leaves were browning and no ticket, I have it in a quite small pot and need to know how big it will get don't want to strangle the poor thing after rescuing it from the spotty teenagers at the store!
