please help with my kalanchoe

    Hi all I had a kalanchoe plant that I took a cutting from the original plant died but the cutting grew but not properly it looks nothing at all like it should look it grew very tall with smaller leaves now all the leaves from the bottom have fallen off the bottom quarter of the main stem and now its very top heavey should I give it quite a severe pruning or just leave it I dont want it to snap or die its very pretty also on the original plant that I took the cutting from the little flowers were bright pink now the ones on the cutting are almost white please help I am a bit useless when it comes to plants 1405335158252.jpg

    Just take some cuttings from the tops and you should see it bush out a bit. This will also give you new plants from the cuttings. :)

    Thank you I will try that people laugh at it when I tell them what it is with it looking nothing at all as it should

    Are you keeping it too wet?

    No I always let it dry outbetween waterings I have trimmed some cuttings from the top hopefully I havent killed the plant in the process and hopefully should have a nice new plant soon too its not as bent over now I have taken some of the heavy from the top

    I don't know where you are keeping it but it needs a lot of light, a south facing window sill, or conservatory is ideal.

    Its just on the living room window sill the light seems the same at all the windows in the house
