Ordered some Trinidad scorpion peppers along with some habenaro seeds online. These do not look like the scorpions I have seen but I have heard they don't always have the signiture "tail". They also don't look like most habenaro's that I have seen. But I am also a total novice. Thanks for the help

Hi JBlos, and welcome to GC :sign0016:

It would help the resident experts (just to be clear, I'm not one of them) if you could post a picture or three to assist them in making the ID?

    EDIT - must type faster.

Hopefully someone like James Swann will be along in a mo to help you :)

Thanks! Only reason I even attempted to grow these was a friend told me he could eat them without batting an eye. So I said challenge accepted. Only problem is now I can wait to grow more! I'm on SE PA so my days are just about done. My guess is that they are habanaro's. hopefully I am wrong. I was really looking forward to my watching my friend eat the Trinidad.

Oh and any tips on keeping this plant alive are appreciated. It's been getting into the upper 40's at night and up to about 72 during the day. So I have been bringing into my garage at night time untill sun up. The garage stays around 60-65

:sign0016:to the GC corner JBlos - the pictures of the peppers with their lantern shape certainly look like Capsicum annum Habanero which is an extremely very tasty hot chili pepper.
