        Thanks gcc, I just went out to look for a label on my Kerria because I've had it years & couldn't remember what it was. Couldn't find a label, came back and you'd answered so I can make one now!

        I've never tried taking cuttings from my Kerria but it has spread of its own accord, I think it suckers, so I would guess that you could find some of those and plant them up separately from the main plant. Mine is growing in almost continuous shade with other shrubs and seems perfectly happy to be left to get on with life quietly and with little attention from me.
