Noticed these growing in my garden the other day, and the leaves look like some poppies that were planted in the garden a few years ago, but the flowers are totally different, fairly sure these are weeds but just wanted to make sure before ripping them out :)

It's not a great picture but first thoughts were Snapdragon but looking at the leaves it's obviously some kind of related UK native plant, pretty though:)

Nearly called my first Daughter Toadflax, as it was in bloom when she was born.

Thanks to everyone for their help, they do look quite nice, but somehow the seeds have been blown into different parts of the garden, and after I found out the name from silver surfer and done a little research, I think they are classed as a wild Snapdragon, but going to be ripping them out..lol

I'd keep it as it's a nice plant and could play a part in the garden.......but then that's me!!:heehee:

I would but they seem top heavy, unlike the normal snapdragons which stand at about 14" tall and support themselves, these tend to droop over, suppose that they could make good ground cover, but that was my reason for getting rid off, but I guess they aren't doing any harm there, so looks like they have gained a reprieve for now :)
