    (please move if there's a better board for this)

    Some members are posting images as links (that show a hand when you hover cursor over them) that takes you to their pb album when clicking on it (if one assumes that they've done it that way intentionally in order to provide a pictorial link rather than one showing the url or with the url assigned a name).

    For example:

    1) A normal image using img tags (note that nothing happens when cursor placed over image)

    [IMG]

    Code:
    [IMG]http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm69/Scrungee_photos/badger1-2.gif[/IMG]
    2) An image link using both url and img tags, but the url link is the image url
    [IMG]

    Code:
    [URL='http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm69/Scrungee_photos/badger1-2.gif'][IMG]http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm69/Scrungee_photos/badger1-2.gif[/IMG][/URL]

    3) As 2, but with a different url link - click on it

    [IMG]

    Code:
    [URL='http://www.badger.org.uk/'][IMG]http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm69/Scrungee_photos/badger1-2.gif[/IMG][/URL]

    This is being caused by pb users selecting the IMG link, rather than the Direct link. Inserting the Direct link between img tags or using Image button on the text editor toolbar (right hand side of Smilies button) will result in an image without (unintentional?) links to somewhere else.

    A long time ago, the pb IMG link just used to have just img tags, but it's now changed to something used for the likes of showing a thumbnail of an image which can be clicked on to show a larger image, or inserting a clickable link to a url in the form of an image.

    Another example:

    4) Click on image below to view full size (a block of clickable thumbnails might appear more readable than scrolling through a whole load of full size images).

    [IMG]

    Code:
    [URL='http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm69/Scrungee_photos/JamiePotCompo.jpg'][IMG]http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm69/Scrungee_photos/JOcompostsmall_zps68cc2967.jpg[/IMG][/URL]

      Apologies, from me, to any members that are posting links to their albums. I have very slow broadband and, because it takes so long to link through to pictures done in that way, I don't bother and just skip the post.

      I only look at pictures that are posted directly on to GC. I'm not ignoring you but don't have the time to wait for links.
