    quick question, how far back can you try and claim ££back .

    FSA regulated companies (that would be all UK registered banks and building societies) are only obliged to keep the financial records for 6 years after the account was closed. That means, for example, that I've missed out on my loan one, as the loan account was closed (paid off) more than 6 years ago, even though I held other accounts with the same bank until much more recently.

      I'm just filling in the paper work, now for the financial ombudsman to do the work, its free. They don't take a cut like those companies that advertise on tv or email you.

        My daughters in the process of claiming back off her credit cards, she has far too many, 1400 pounds so far.
