We stopped at a sandwich bar for lunch today and I ordered a chicken salad ...

    ... that's a 28cm (11in) plate it's on and it plus my orange drink cost 4,20 Euros (about £2.95).

This place is famous for it's 26cm (10in) square toasted sandwiches about 5cm (2in) thick. You can have a half one, which t'other half did with a beer for £2.75.

I'm just wondering,.......what do the locals think of these strange foreiners who like to photograph their food before they eat it.

    It looks good though. :D

Peaches, pineapple and kiwi fruit ... yes, strongy, we ate it as a dessert. Still keep wondering why we stay here with these rip-off prices in a city (ha, ha, tiny town) like Portim£o. It's a struggle here at times .... cough, cough, cough ...

Sorry, pete, we posted about the same time ...

I secretly got my camera out for you guys ... I had it with me for the Country Life photos and those fantastic trees in Lagoa ... and do I care if someone sees me photographing my food ... I actually don't look like a tourist and because my camera is not "small" they think I'm a photographer. [IMG]
