Problem tree

1.Last summer i bought two cupressus gold evergreen trees.One of the trees has started turning brown.Any help would be greatly appreciated?

Notice you are in Cornwall, is the tree somewhere where it can be blasted by wind..even salt laden wind, it could be its in a bit of an exposed area, on the other hand is the other tree nearby and unaffected? has it had chance to get established before winter and not lacked water? I have also heard of an aphid that attacks conifers and causes this too
