    Aw how sad....i didn't know she was ill but at least she's free from pain now:sad:...Loved all her music...think McArthur park was my favorite .......

    Ohh such a shame she was the real disco icon .... I was just reading about her & it is said she had been battling lung cancer... Such a cruel indiscriminate disease....

    Dead! I didn't know she was ill. I liked most of her songs, sadly missed.

    I hadn't realised she was ill either Watergarden, but she tried hard to conceal it according to the papers.. Such a shame..

      Couldn't stand Disco, being a Punk, but appreciated the music from the techno point of view. Only cussed the DJ last week for cutting the song short.

      Very sad to lose such a lovely lady. She was an icon from my days (8 months younger than me) and I so admired her. I fell in love with her with Love to Love you Baby ... and of course as loli says, McArthur Park ... and Enough is Enough with the fabulous Barbra Streisand, my idol.

      I shall have to put some music on now in her honour.

          I read that she blamed her Cancer on breathing in dust from the 9/11 attack. That seems a bit specific to me.

          Hmm it is sad but it seems a lot of people have suffered from it Zigs.. Was reading this snippet in the LA Times..
