      I have never tried raised beds.

      Each to their own, the idea is to show what is going on and perhaps give newer gardeners a few ideas to mull over.

        I would like to try them as I struggle to get down to ground level but currently, we don't have the room.

        My garden in not big, hence the raised beds and growing crops in blocks rather than rows and of course being no dig, a real labour saver for me as I get older, I've just had some fairly major surgery to remove a tumour and with this method of growing, I have been able to continue gardening.

          Having done one raised bed ready for planting and as it is now a sweaty zero degrees in the sunshine, I lifted the last of the carrots, weeded and added a bag of farmyard manure and put some fleece on in a vein attempt at warming the soil a bit, got some shallots to go in there in the next few weeks.
