Red Bug id please..

    I'm afraid your pic isn't really good enough for a positive identification, John, at least not for me. But it looks like a member of the Chrysomelidae family, which are leaf eaters. It could be the "Bloody Nosed Beetle" Timarchar tenebricosa which is of that family, although I'm not sure. But. as I said, the pic is not really clear enough to be sure.:biggrin:

    Many thanks..I will try and get a better picture tomorrow..seem to be lots of them in my garden at the moment..also found a few in my greenhouse..Thanks
