    Hmm! Actually we do, pete. They're not common but they're not particularly rare. They're known as "Sun Dogs".:WINK1: I always make a point of making sure the kids/g/kids see them.

    Historically, 3 suns & 2 moons were seen over Chard in Somerset during the civil war. I believe it brought a battle to a halt. That reference was either from "Haunted Britain of "the Ghost Hunters Road book, can't remember which one.

    Not seen the sun dogs myself either Pete, but theres still time.

    Only seen the moon rings 3 times in 40 odd years & thats from someone who regularly star gazes

    I was a founder member of our local astronomy club, but then I went mad for a bit & didn't carry on with it.
