Think we've done this one before, but a reminder won't hurt.

If you have an accident that involves the emergency services needing to call a relative on your mobile, they won't know the name of your nearest & dearest from all the other names, so best to put down a contact under ICE - In Case of Emergency.

That's the first thing the emergency services will look for :)

Those with smart phones can download an app, I downloaded it 4 times, it`s emblazoned on the top of my home page, all my details including medication are listed, especially as I am allergic to penicillin . google apps playstore

Mine would be a whole essay:

If I'm dead, or will be dead within the next few minutes, tell my sister in law. She doesn't like me that much anyway, and she can break the news to wife.

If I'm going to be fine, but the accident or the circumstances leading up to it were extremely embarrassing, phone my mate and tell him to tell my wife I'm really a secret agent and have been called to fly immediately to some place he is not allowed to disclose, and I can't contact anyone for fear of jeopardising international security but I'll be back in a few days.

If I'm going to be late for work, better tell my boss.

If someone else is involved, phone a solicitor first.

If its going to cost me a lot of money. Better phone me, I deal with that side of things.

Lots of people do, especially if they have lots of work info on it like my OH. Plus if it's lost or stolen then it's more difficult for anyone else to run up a fortune on your bill or hack into your email/facebook etc.

I don't bother as I don't use my phone for anything except calls and texts plus it's a pay as you go and there's never more than £10 credit on it.

Phone get separated from you in accident ... and/or has a Passcode - so you then download an APP that has the personal information about you on your phone's home page. Not sure about that ... but not sure the alternative is better / less ID-theft prone? and may still get separated from you in an accident.

Put the ICE information in your purse/wallet. Print it with a photo of you, so can be reunited with you if you & it get separated. Include blood group, allergies, phone numbers, etc.
