Hi there chums. You MAY remember this thread http://www.gardenerscorner.co.uk/forum/showthread.php/help-please-17111.html in which I asked for advice.
If you go to the second pic you'll see a rose you helped me with (the one in the pot).

Anyway, herewith are a couple of pics of how it looks now.
I should say that in the first pic it looks more orange than yellow, but it is definitely a bright yellow (as in pic 2) although now fading.

What I'd like to know is, is there any way it can be identified ? Also, any comments as to how it's looking or any attention you think it needs ? I'm sorely tempted to 'stop' that main shoot to encourage side shoots, but I guess that's a 'no-no' ? :)
    Cheers...freddy.

Hi freddy how many petals has it got,if you feel that the temptation is to great ,you could always let it bloom, then when you dead head the last bloom shorten the main stem then, just an idea :thumb::)

Hi WOO. Ok, tomorrow I'll strip the bloom and let you know. Will the rose be ok if I shorten the main stem ?
    Cheers...freddy.

"let it have its day in the sun"

:) What a wonderful turn of phrase you have WOO. Ok, although it's been blazing down here all day, I'll let it 'express itself for another day' (how was that for a phrase?) :D
    Cheers...freddy.

Hi again. Right, having counted the petals, the number is 45, although one of these was so small that it's a bit difficult to say if it was a petal at all. I guess if it has colour and is attached, that makes it a petal, right ?
    Cheers...freddy.

Ok WOO. Those names don't ring any bells, but TBH, if you said the name I wouldn't be able to remember.
Right, lets assume it's one of those, what type of rose is it ? Shrub ?
    Cheers...freddy.

Hi again chums. Well, just to prove me wrong, this rose now has a definite hint of orange about it. A bit strange as I don't recall it having this shade before. Maybe it's because it was kept in a pot ?
Anyway, herewith a couple of new pics as it looks now, and yes, I KNOW about the aphid ! :)
