Hi. I'm no percy thrower so I'd like some advice on how best to trim two rose bush I've inherited at my new house. One stem is massive, must be at least 8-9ft if straightened up. It only ever flowers at the very end. How best am I to prune this back through the winter or whatever months you're meant to, to get best results back out of her??
The other is going in a similar way. Only get one or two white flowers and the leafs are covered in black spots 20160708_173801.jpg 20160708_173812.jpg
I've attached a picture of them both.
Thanks for any help or advice

Good evening @Andrew Fielding I respectfully suggest that you wait until November and prune them down as below, If you train your canes horizontally this will give you blooms at the base of your Rose. 20160708_173801.jpg Rose-Pruning_Climber_web.jpg rose-pruning-climber-after-1.jpg
