HI all, i have a Salix sepulcralis 'Erythroflexuosa' in my back garden, at the moment it is about 6 ft tall, 2 main stems. I'm using it as a stand out peice in a bed to add privacy from my neighbours yard. it's beside a weigela and a lantern tree.

My question is on coppicing it, this link gives the full height as 10 to 16ft

if i cut it back to get more stems, what overall height can i expect it to grow back to? given that is is being used in a screen , i want it 6 to 8ft, but worries if i cut it back it won't get back to that height.

anyone able to help? thanks in advance!!

Obviously it depends on the fertility of ones soil and the amount of rain it receives, but ours grows about 3 feet in the season after pruning in May.

just worried cause something i read on this seemed to imply that the final height reached would be reduced by cutting them back
