Picked this up off another forum the ****ehawks are at it again.
This has been confirmed by Royal Mail.
Trading Standards are making people aware of the following scam:

A card is posted through your door from a company called PDS (Parcel
Delivery Service) suggesting that they were unable to deliver a parcel and
that you need to contact them on 09066611911 (a premium rate number).
DO NOT call this number, as this is a mail scam originating from Belize.
If you call the number and you start to hear a recorded message you will
already have been billed £15 for the phone call.

If you do receive a card with these details, then please contact Royal
Mail Fraud on 02072396655 or ICSTIS (the premium rate service regulator) at
    www.icstis.org.uk

Thanks Walnut. It is so sad that there are so many scams around these days. But even sadder is the fact that the authorities do not seem prepared to do anything.

I saw the premium phone line regulator interviewed on television about a similar sort of scam from the Bahamas or some such place. And rather than saying we will close them down and refuse to pass the money on to them, the regulator said the individual should get the address of the scammer and write to him requesting the return of his money.

    Now who is the scammer!

    Nice links.

I like the one saying that you should ignore letters from THE INLAND REVENUE saying you owe them money. Another scam whereby conmen extract money from vulnerable people, with all sorts of promises and threats. And they have no intention of delivering riches back to you. :D
