Sealed unit 13amp plugs

    Most things come with a non changeable plug these days. I guess it's to stop folk electrocuting themselves:th scifD36:

    However, it means a lot of recyclable metals are going to landfill :hate-shocked:

    There are a few different types but here's how to dissasemble the rubberised coated ones :spinning:

    Make a slit with a sharp knife, then lever with a screwdriver to make it easier to slice across. DSCI0002 (12).JPG

    Once you've cut it across, lever around to free the inner casing.

    There are a couple of clips that allow you to open the inner casing.

    Once that's done use 2 pairs of pliers to lever and separate the copper and brass :) DSCI0008 (1).JPG

              I'd be inclined to just chuck it in the recycle bin.
              The powers that be can do whatever they like with it then.
